FEMA Mobile Disaster Recovery Unit Arrives in Todd County to Assist with Applications

Starting today, FEMA's mobile disaster recovery units are arriving in Todd County to support residents affected by the severe storms at the end of May. The mobile center, located at the Todd County Dispatch Center at 813 South Main Street in Elkton, will operate from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday through Saturday.

Residents of Kentucky, including those in Butler, Caldwell, Calloway, Christian, Clay, Greenup, Hopkins, Knox, Logan, Muhlenberg, Simpson, Todd, Trigg, Warren, and Whitley counties, can visit any Disaster Recovery Center in the state to apply for FEMA assistance. FEMA representatives will be on hand to help with federal assistance applications and provide information on other disaster recovery resources.

FEMA's financial aid may cover basic home repairs and other uninsured disaster-related needs, such as childcare, transportation, medical expenses, funeral costs, or dental expenses. Additionally, representatives from the U.S. Small Business Administration and various Commonwealth agencies will be available to assist survivors.
