Summary

CrowdStrike has broadened its Cybersecurity Startup Accelerator program by welcoming Nvidia and strengthening its collaboration with Amazon Web Services (AWS). The announcement was made at the opening of the 2024 Fal.Con conference.

Now in its second year, the accelerator aims to nurture the next generation of AI and cloud security startups. Open for applications from September 16 through January 10, this expanded program is designed to support market-leading disruptors, focusing on innovation in cybersecurity.

Nvidia, a leading chipmaker and a major player in artificial intelligence, is the latest company to join the initiative. CrowdStrike’s Chief Business Officer, Daniel Bernard, emphasized the success of the program’s first cohort and highlighted the increased scope this year, which now includes U.S.-based companies alongside those from Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA). He expressed excitement about deepening the partnership with Nvidia to foster more AI innovation.

“We’re building on the success of last year’s cohort, which primarily focused on EMEA, and now expanding our reach to include disruptive startups from the U.S.,” Bernard stated. “With Nvidia joining, this partnership is poised to accelerate innovation in AI and cybersecurity.”

About the Cybersecurity Startup Accelerator

The selected startups will take part in an eight-week program, jointly developed by AWS, CrowdStrike, and Nvidia. The program offers mentorship from top executives and experts in the cybersecurity space. Participants will also gain access to investors, enablement sessions, and numerous resources to support their growth and innovation.

By the end of the program, the startups will showcase their innovations at AWS’s Startup Loft in San Francisco during the RSA Conference in April. Exceptional presentations may secure funding through the CrowdStrike Falcon Fund.

According to Bernard, the program benefits all stakeholders, including CrowdStrike’s partners, customers, and the broader tech ecosystem. "Our aim is to push innovation forward, and the success of last year’s startups proves how powerful this program is. We’ve seen participants raise over $150 million in a tough fundraising environment, thanks to the education and networking opportunities provided by this program."

The partnership between AWS and CrowdStrike, now enhanced with Nvidia’s involvement, underscores a commitment to advancing AI and cloud security technologies and helping startups achieve their mission to improve security outcomes.
