EcoFlow's Innovative Power Hat: A Solar-Powered Solution for Your Head

EcoFlow has introduced a unique piece of headgear that combines practicality with a touch of whimsy: the Power Hat. This wide-brimmed sun hat is embedded with solar cells, allowing you to charge your phone while wearing it. According to EcoFlow, the hat can fully charge a 4,000mAh smartphone in just 3-4 hours, making it perfect for outdoor activities like camping or even surviving in extreme conditions.

The Power Hat, priced at $129, features solar cells made from passivated emitter and rear contact (PERC) monocrystalline silicon, a thin and flexible material. It provides approximately 12-watt charging through USB-A and USB-C connectors located under the brim. Weighing 370 grams, the hat is also IP65 rated, meaning it is dust-proof and can withstand water jets from any direction. However, caution is advised when using it around water, especially near the USB ports.

EcoFlow offers the Power Hat in two adjustable sizes: 56–58cm (22–22.8 inches) and 59–61cm (23.2–24 inches). Preorders are available until August 31st, with shipping expected to begin in mid-September.
