Samsung introduced its Galaxy AI technology with the flagship Galaxy S24 series earlier this year. Following its extension to the latest foldable devices, Samsung is now reportedly planning to bring Galaxy AI features to some mid-range phones.
According to industry sources cited by SamMobile, Samsung may soon introduce Galaxy AI features to the Galaxy A55 and Galaxy A35. While there is no confirmed release date, these features are expected to be included in the One UI 6.1.1 update, anticipated in the coming months.
However, the mid-range Galaxy A series devices will not receive the full suite of Galaxy AI tools available on flagship models. It remains unclear which specific AI-powered features will be included, but it is speculated that Samsung may exclude features that require significant on-device processing power. Given that the Galaxy A55 and Galaxy A35 do not have the same processing capabilities as Samsung’s flagship devices, this approach is similar to what Samsung did with the Galaxy S23 FE, which lacks the Instant Slow-Mo feature despite having a powerful, albeit older, chipset.
