The Indian School of Business (ISB) has partnered with the Telangana Government to launch an innovative Healthcare Management Programme, tailored for senior leaders within the state's Health, Medical, and Family Welfare Department.

Spearheaded by the ISB Max Institute of Healthcare Management and delivered through ISB Executive Education, this one-year initiative aims to strengthen leadership and managerial skills, ensuring more effective management of public health institutions across Telangana.

The programme consists of nine sessions, all hosted at the ISB Hyderabad campus, and is designed to deepen participants' knowledge in healthcare management. It will drive innovation and significantly improve the delivery of public health services throughout the state. As the healthcare sector continues to evolve, the programme will focus on cultivating leadership skills that will bring about positive changes in the administration of public health services and enhance services focused on citizen well-being. Participants will also take part in industry study treks, focusing on healthcare technology and innovation, along with action learning projects intended to generate impactful results in their respective areas of expertise.

The official launch of the programme took place at the ISB Hyderabad campus, attended by R.V. Karnan, Telangana's Commissioner of Health and Family Welfare and Mission Director of the National Health Mission.

"Public health is a central element of Telangana's development goals, and we are proud to be recognized as a leading state in providing top-notch healthcare services. This new programme with ISB builds on our healthcare initiatives from 2022, reflecting our ongoing commitment to innovation and excellence in health management. We remain dedicated to taking bold, transformative steps in our journey," stated Health Commissioner Karnan.

Professor Sarang Deo, Deputy Dean of Operations Management, Faculty and Research, and Executive Director of the Max Institute of Healthcare Management (MIHM), emphasized the collaboration's goal: "We are committed to supporting the public health workforce through targeted training, closely working with the Telangana Government to enhance leadership and managerial capabilities across the state's public health institutions."

This comprehensive programme covers critical areas such as operations management, healthcare technology, and financial planning, all of which are crucial for improving public health outcomes. By integrating thought leadership with industry-focused sessions led by practitioners, participants will gain valuable insights into real-world challenges and solutions. Moreover, the programme stresses experiential learning, featuring study treks centered on healthcare technology and innovation and action learning projects designed to empower healthcare professionals to create a significant impact in their respective fields.
