OpenAI Shrinks Its Flagship Model with New GPT-4o Mini

OpenAI has announced the release of a mini version of its latest AI model, GPT-4o Mini.

This scaled-down model is designed to be faster and more cost-effective than its full-sized counterpart, making it particularly appealing for high-volume, simpler tasks.

Smaller developers, who may not have extensive budgets for AI, can now integrate powerful AI capabilities into their websites or apps more affordably.

The original GPT-4o model, launched in May, boasts the ability to understand text, speech, and video, embodying the "omni" in its name.
