Are you searching for hints and clues for today’s Wordle puzzle? You’re in the right place!

Yesterday was Wordle Wednesday, where I shared an extra challenge—a riddle for all you clever puzzle enthusiasts. Today, I'll reveal the answer (some of you guessed it—kudos!).

Here’s the riddle:

"In London lies a knight a Pope interred. His labour's fruit a Holy wrath incurred. You seek the orb that ought be on his tomb."

The answer: An apple! This riddle refers to Sir Isaac Newton, famously associated with the apple that inspired his theory of gravity, and it’s featured in The Da Vinci Code.

Now, let’s dive into solving today’s Wordle puzzle.

How To Crack Today’s Wordle Puzzle

  • Hint: It’s part of a train but not on the tracks.
  • Clue: This Wordle starts and ends with consonants.

The answer is... WAGON!

Wordle Analysis After every puzzle, I consult Wordle Bot to review my strategy. You can check your own Wordles with the Wordle Bot as well.

Today, my opening guess was GRAIN, which led me to a lucky situation with three correct letters. My next guess was VEGAN, but it didn’t solve the puzzle. However, it left me with one remaining word, WAGON, which brought home the win!

Competitive Wordle Score I scored 1 point for solving it in three guesses, plus an extra point for beating Wordle Bot, who took four tries. Not too bad!

How To Play Competitive Wordle Here’s a fun way to compete with friends in Wordle:

  • Guessing in 1: 3 points
  • Guessing in 2: 2 points
  • Guessing in 3: 1 point
  • Guessing in 4: 0 points
  • Guessing in 5: -1 point
  • Guessing in 6: -2 points
  • Missing the Wordle: -3 points

You also earn an extra point if you beat your opponent or get 0 points if you tie.

Word Etymology Today’s Wordle answer, GRAIN, traces back to the Latin word granum, meaning “seed” or “small particle.” Over time, its meaning expanded to describe small particles like grains of sand or salt and textures like wood grain. The word entered Old French before being adopted into Middle English with the same meaning.
